Smokey Quartz is a translucent brownish gray quartz that has a wide range of colors and transparency. This piece is very translucent with a hint of brownish gray. It is set in a surround of delicate sterling silver and a beautiful designed bale. There is no back on the setting intentionally to allow a play of light through the piece. Smokey quartz is a classic gemstone.
