This necklace is a beautiful green Idocrase stone set in Sterling Silver with an 18" double sterling chain. The Idocrase is from Mexico.
Idocrase, also known as Vesuvianite, is a very rare gemstone. It was first found on Mt. Vesuvius adjacent to the lava there. This particular gem is from Mexico and is a high quality stone, cut and shined into a beautiful piece. It gleams like the rare gem it is.
The rock was created by the God of Creation. The lapidary work was done by Travel Ore Designs Jeweler, Mark Nelson of Fort Collins, Colorado.
